"From a very young age, cousins Pawlu & Stiefnu used to sketch carnival floats together. Today, these two are living their dream by building carnival floats, costumes and dancing coreography."

Paul Chircop

Paul who comes from the capital city of Malta, Valletta, started his carnival experience with the great Paul Curmi il-Pampalun. At a very young age he used to help Paul Curmi in his warehouse round the corner. His late father Alex chircop founded this company called Beqqu Stiefnu Carnival company. Paul takes care of the dancing and the costume management of the company.

Stiefnu De Battista

Stiefnu was born in Lija, an artist and graphic designer who started his passion in carnival with Paul Curmi way back in the 90's. In 2007 Stiefnu won a one month scholarship in ceramics where he worked with one of the leading carnival artists in Sciacca, Giuseppe Sclafani. This experience gave stiefnu the inspiration to setup up a carnival company together with his cousin Paul.

which was a church close to where my grandmother used to live. Seeing a church from the outside and then an explosion of colours and floats inside was something that left a mark on me as a child, and that is where my love for Carnival started…
